The Eastern Illinois men and the Tennessee State women won their respective 2016 Ohio Valley Conference Indoor Track and Field Championship titles. The Panther men earned 140 points while the TSU women recorded 124 points.

The Eastern Illinois women and the SIUE men lead after the first day of the 2016 Ohio Valley Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships. The Panther women earned 44 points while the Cougar men posted 41 points

The Ohio Valley Conference Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Year were announced on Thursday as voted on by the league s head coaches. Five different institutions were represented by the winners.

Eastern Illinois' Christian Illunga-Matthiesen, Ivy Handley and Janie Howse; and Southeast Missouri's Christian Locke were named adidas OVC Track and Field Athletes of the Week.

Austin Peay's Savannah Amato; Belmont's Hannah Wittman and Del McSpadden; Eastern Kentucky's Jaime Escriche; and Southeast Missouri's Christian Locke were named the adidas OVC Track and Field Athletes of the Week.

Eastern Illinois' Riley McInerney; Belmont's Hannah Wittman; Southeast Missouri's Jarred Pasley; SIUE's Julian Harvey and Claire Nolan; and Tennessee Tech's Sarah Brandt were named adidas OVC Track and Field Athletes of the Week.

Eastern Illinois' Haleigh Knapp, Eastern Kentucky's Charlotte Imer, Murray State's Tamdra Lawrence, Southeast Missouri's Jarred Pasley and SIUE's Julian Harvey were named the adidas OVC Track and Field Athletes of the Week.

SIUE's Keith Meyer and Julian Harvey; and Tennessee State's Amber Hughes and Clairwin Dameus were named adidas Track & Field Athletes of the Week.

Belmont's Del McSpadden; Eastern Illinois' Amy Yeoman; Southeast Missouri's Chris Martin; SIUE's Darius Smith and Julian Harvey; Tennessee State's Quamel Prince, Amber Hughes and Clairwin Dameus; and Tennessee Tech's Na'Asha Robinson.
